• Description:

  Antique Mauser Model 1871 carbine built by Spandau in 1878.  This carbine shows the typical cut back wood to the band.  It is our understanding that most of the carbines cut in this manner  were modified by the original importer.  This piece shows a bright very good bore with strong rifling.  All numbers are matching.  The metal shows some added finish and an attractive appearance.  The wood shows added finish but is very sound.  The butt tang shows regulation marking 8H over 2. 122.  An excellent antique shooter or a piece for the rebuilding project. Not subject to license or transfer.
