• Description:

  SN 8782 Q is an all matching 71/84 rifle built at Danzig arsenal in 1887.  This example shows a bright, excellent bore.  The caliber is 43 Mauser.  The barrel and bands show original but faded blue and all of the correct markings.  The bore rates as bright,excellent.  The wood is all sound, no cracks or repairs and only normal service usage marks.  The stock shows all of it's originla proofs and no indication of sanding or repair.  The butt tang shows unit marking 7.R.E over 2.104, possible unit reserve infantry Reg # 7? An overall very good plus example for the German or military rifle collection.  Note: the two bands and the butt plate show hash marks applied by some former owner.
