  This rifle shows no military markings. This commercial piece does not show any proofs. This piece was acquired in Ontario and may well have been a 303 assembled by one of the old Ontario makers/Gunsmiths. These rifles were popular in the late 1890's and early 1900's for military match shooting. This piece shows a shootable bore with some corrosion buy sound rifling. Both the metal and wood are sound. The action is tight with a strong trigger pull. A piece for the martini or single shot collector.
