  Marlin 1889, 24" octogonal barrel in 44-40 , this Marlin shows serial # 30724 (This model built 1889 to 1899).  This piece is sound and complete with the exception of the magazine tube that has been cut to 1/2.  The mag bracket dove tail remains at the muzzle allowing for a restoration of the full mag.  The bore rates good plus with corrosion and shootable rifling. With overall grey finish, sound action and wood,this is a restorable piece or parts gun.  For the Marlin or the 44-40 fan.
