  • Description:

SN 10422 is an early model 1921 special order Marble Game Getter.  When we first examined this pistol we assumed that the barrels were shortenend to 7".  Removal of the front sight band and examination of the barrels proved the unit to be a correct set of 7" special order barrels.  Marble had a policy of providing special barrels to their customers.  This Game Getter shows the 22 caliber markings and the 2" 410 bottom barrel.  Both bores show use but are bright rating good to very good.  The finish rates as dull original with clear markings, case colored hammer and 85 to 90%.  The folding stock rates as excellent.  The grips show some original finish and are sound.  This piece comes with its' shoulder holster.  This item was sourced out of the province of NB.  Over the years numerous unusual sporting guns have appeared.  The vast majority were items that arrived with U.S. sports and hunters.  New Brunswick was a favorite place in the early 1900's with its' numerous hunting camps and guides.  This less common Game Getter probably came to N.B. in this manner.
