  • Description:

Sn 7L6598 is an excellent plus example of an RCMP issue Lee Enfield rifle. This No.4 MK1* is dated 1942 and shows the MP mark on the left side of the receiver and the C Broad arrow marking on the top of the receiver ring. This example is all matching, shows all the correct markings and remains in as new and as issued condition (wood & metal) . The bore rates as new/excellent plus. This rifle is mounted with a 1942 dated Canadian sling in as issued condition. It would be very difficult to find a better condition example. Included is an original 1942 dated action cover, pull through and oiler. This rifle was in a collection for a period of time in excess of 25 years. This piece is not noted in the actual list of rifles in the Klancher book "Arms & Accoutrements of the RCMP". This piece falls in the partial list of the production rifles from 1942(7L1278 - 7L 9469). An excellent above average example for the serious Lee Enfield or RCMP collector.
