  An excellent example of an E1 Co. percussion lock.  This example shows the standing lion on the face of the plate.  The reverse shows the makers mark R&WA for R&W Aston, a Birmingham maker.  It also shows P/3 on the hammer and P/5 on the plate.  A better than average example of a lock for the percussion Enfield.
