  SN E67800 is all matching on this 1943 dated SMLE III*.  The socket, barrel and sight are all 1943.  The barrel shows December production.  Bright excellent 393 caliber bore, overall excellent 303 caliber bore, overall excellent Parkerized finish, this rifle shows a brass lower barrel band.  The wood is Australian and remains in very good plus condtiion with crisp clear markings.  Overall this Lithgow is in better than average original condition rating at 90% plus metal and wood.  A piece for the collector or military rifle shooter.
