• Description:

  SN 19084 is a MKIV 22 caliber trainer converted from a 1911 dated 303 caliber issue rifle .  This example shows a matching receiver, bolt and barrel.  The conversion to 22 appears to have been issued in Canada as the rear target site base (Cooey) shows a C broad arrow.  The top of the sight is not in place.  It would appear that the conventional rear sight was remounted and the top forewood removed at this time.  The 22 caliber bore rates at bright excellent.  This 22 trainer can be rebuilt with the remounting the top section of the rear target sight and reinstalling the forewood.  See Skennerton Final Edition, page 293.
