  Enfield built Pattern 1888 Bayonet dated 9/1896 by the date. This was one of the Canadian contract Long Lee Enfields as sold to Canada in 1896.  This piece shows a bright excellent blade, clear markings and excellent unpolished condition.  The cross guard shows issue #138 as does the scabbard stud.  An excellent bayonet for a Canadian Long Lee Rifle or a piece for the bayonet collector.
