  SN 77C6640 is a Savage/Stevens built No 4 MK 1* 303 rifle.  This example shows clear markings including the U.S. property mark on the frame.  The rear sight is the correct MK 3 for the late production Savage rifles.  The bolt shows a 0 bolt head and is armory matching.  The bore rates at bright excellent.  The wood is sound and S (Savage marked) as is the mag but numbered on the bottom to a different rifle.  A nice example for the shooter collector.
