• Description:

  SN P197709 is an all matching English 1942 dated No 4 MK 1, 303 caliber with a bright excellent bore.  This piece was one of the rifles assembled at Maltby R.O.F. as indicated by the M on the right side of the socket before the date.  It also shows "A" indicating component non-interchangeability due to some minor substandard characteristic.  This piece also shows clear sharp markings and a surplus stamping on the receiver ring.  See page 225 of Skennerton "The Lee Enfield" final edition.  Overall excellent condtiion with mixed and various markers components typical of the Maltby assembled rifles.  A piece for the Lee Enfield collector.
