• Description:

  Lee Enfield No 1 MKIII Commercial rifle built by BSA.  SN 31525 shows the socket marked BSA no crown or date.  The numbers match on the sight, bolt and nose cap.  The safety is marked III no star.  This piece retains the cut off.  The barrel shows BSA logo on the Knox form and Birmingham proofs.  The barrel rates very good with sound rifling but overall frosting.  The metal shows an overall very good plus military blue finish.  The wood shows no breaks or cracks but shows normal usage marks and an added oil finish.  Any MK3 (No Star) is a scarce Enfield.  The commerical MK3 is scarcer again.
