    SN 414024 is one of the scarcer Sauer 38H pistols with the one line single marking 7.65 marked slide.  This piece shows the rough tool mark on the metal which retains 97% original blue.  The frame shows the E-37 military acceptance stamp on the left trigger bow.  The right side is unmarked slide and frame with the exception of the serial # and Eagle N proof.  This is a sub variation as per pages 49 and 52 of "Axis Pistols" by Jan Still.  One of approximately 50,000 procured by the Army.  A scarce WW2 pistol.
