  SN 21314 is a Japanese Arisaka rifle in 6.5 X 51 R.  This rifle shows the ground off mum.  The bore shows overall corrosion but sound rifling.  The wood shows obvious usage but is sound. The metal shows a dull blue.  The bolt is not numbered but has the correct dust cover.  Most Japanese rifles are relatively scarce in Canada as there were very few trophy guns returned.  Most of the Japanese rifles were imported by the old International Firearms out of Montreal circa 1960's.  A sound example for the military rifle collector.  Note: rifles of this type should not be fired unless they are examined and tested by a licensed gunsmith.
