• Description:

  SN 17934 is a Type 38 rifle in better than average condition.  This piece was built at Koishikawa arsenal in Tokyo prior to 1935.  This 6.5 cal rifle shows the correct 31.5 " barrel with a bright very good to excellent bore.  The barrel and action shows 95% original blue.  The bolt remains in the oroginal white finish.  The bolt matches but not the extrator.  The mum is full intact with semi circle marks indicting a failed attempt to disface the same.  The wood is sound but shows normal issue and service marks.  There is an unusual marking in the butt below the top tang.  A better than average example of a WWII Arisaka Type 38 Rifle.
