  SN 39721 is an Italian percussion Kentucky rifle  with a 35" barrel in 45 caliber.  This example shows all original blue on the barrel with scattered patches of fine engraving.  The lock shows case colour.  The brass patch box shows a stage coach and 18th sept 1858 date St. Louis- San Francisco 2700 miles.  The brass butt plate, trigger guard and sideplate shows engraving.  The bore shows little if any evidence of firing as does the nipple.  A nice piece for black powder shooters.
