  SN AC4488 is an excellent example of the 7.62 (308 caliber) A1 rifle built at Ishapore rifle factory,  This example is one of the 308 caliber Enfields built 1966-1974.  The example shows a bright excellent bore, all matching numbers and it's 12 round 7.65 caliber magazine.  This example shows a rear sight graduated from 1 to 8 hundred meters and dated 1968.  This example comes with it's excellent bayonet dated January 1944, crown GRI MkII* RFI.  The stock shows a post independence SA broad arrow marking.  This example is an all matching Indian built rifle in above average condition - page 581 Skennerton.
