This India Khanjar, dated probably in the 18th century , shows an overall length of 15" and a blade of 10.5". The blade shows heavy pitting related to it's obvious age and long hard use and storage. The guard shows the same pitting while the grips appear to be an ebony wood. The only decoration is the 3 bands of silver studs. A base example of an Eastern knife circa late 18th century.
