  H&R Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Replica caliber 45-70.  This trapdoor carbine is one called the "Little Big Horn Commemorative".  This model was introduced in 1972 and discontinued in 1983.  There were 5000 of this model carbines built.  This example shows no evidence of any usage, bright blue on the firing pin and case color on the bolt face.  This piece shows 99% original finish metal and wood.  Case color and engraved lock, hammer and breech with bright as new bore,this piece shows only minor storage marks.
