German WW2 Deactivated MG 42

  SN 675g is marked on the left side of the receiver together with NC over MG 42 and Waffen cod cra. The metal condition rates as excellent appearance.  As with many of the WW2 pieces this item was probably reissued in other countries in the post war period.  The stock is sound by shows a small stress crack which appears to have been reinforced with four strads of wire soldered in place.  The butt shows a Waffen eagle mark WAA 34 and a Hug code 44.  This example has been deactivated to all current standards and deregistered by the RCMP.  An excellent example for the militaria, WW2 or German collection.
