Excellent example of a French Model 1874 bayonet built by Steyr of Austria. The back is engraved Waffenfabrik Steyr 1881. An excellent plus blade. The serial number #15276 is marked on the crosspiece as per "Bayonet Book" by Watts and White indicating that the bayonets were built by Steyr for Greece. (page 84 of above book). This is a relatively scarce bayonet complete with it's original scabbard. A scarce variation of the French 1874 bayonet.
