    AN interesting set of fireplace tools.  This set was built from French Model 1866/74 Chassepot and Gras bayonets.  The set consists of 3 tools and a pair of stands to hold the same.  These were probably built for Bannerman's, the surplus arms company, from New York.  We have owned a chair which built from about 30 bayonets and was made for and sold by Bannermans.  A unique item for the serious bayonet collector or as a unigue item for the gun room or den.  Not a common item in this market.
