  SN 5649 is a Factory sporterized Lee Enfield No 4 MK which was originally built by Savage/Stevens in the US in 1942 but sporterized in England for sale in America or Canada.  The barrel is 22 1/4" mounted with a commercial ramp and hooded front sight while the receiver was tapered to accommodate a scope mount. A new 5 round magazine was also mounted.  Overall, this example remains in excellent condition with an excellent 303 bore.  Great bush hunter's rifle.
