    SN 945726 is an all original US issue M1 Garand built in early November 1942.  The left side of the stock shows the Springfield cartouche of Col. Earl McFarland who was the commanding officer at Springfield June 1942 to July 1943.  Adjoining the cartouche is the small "crossed cannons" escutcheon.  This M1 shows all of it's original parts as assembled at Springfield.  This rifle was a WW2 bring back in a duffle bag or barrack box.  This piece has been in my personal collection for many years.  It was brought back by a now deceased vet.  An above average example of an "as built" Garand from 1942. Non Restricted.
