Canadian Q.O.R. issued Sider Rifle
- Licensing Category: Antique
We are please to offer an exceptional example of a Canadian issued Snider. This piece remains in it's issued overall condition. The lock is 1863 dated Enfield showing all of its original case colour. The breech shows BSA Co showing brilliant case. The barrel shows 98% plus original blue with only slight marks at the muzzle associated with bayonet mounting and removal. The 577 caliber bore is best desribed as brilliant. The chamber remains in bright no usage condition. The butt shows a clear sharp Enfield roundell and a raised grain in the wood. Overall the stock shows no indication of normal handling or usage. The butt shows a crisp Queen's Own Riflesmark, issued #416. Only the barrel bands show slight loss of original blue turned brown. This piece is mounted with it's original rod and shows excellent un-polished brass. This Snider falls under the old adage " condition is everything" and is priced to reflect the above. Antique status, PAL not required to purchase or own.
