An excellent piece built by W. Wood of Worcester. A noted builder of flint duelling pistols and later percussion sporting guns. 1800-1840. This excellent example of his work shows a 2", finned 50 caliber barrel which shows 80% original blue. The brass frame shows fine schroll engraving. The butt shows a lion's head cap and fine checkering with a silver escution. This piece was probably built circa 1830's.
