Enfield Long Lee MK 1 In Exceptional Condition

  SN 10786 is a Long Lee Enfield unmodified MK 1.  This piece is an exceptional example of a 1896 dated Canadian Long Lee.  This piece is one of the best condition examples that I have found in years.  Complete and original, 97% plus original blue with the only loss being some striation marks associated with mounting and removal of the bayonet, it has a bright excellent bore and evidence of very little use.  The wood is excellent plus with crisp M&D , rondel and inspector marks.  It has attractive tiger stripped wood on the left side of the butt and on the right side of the forewood with only a few minor storage marks on the wood.  This rifle is all matching serial numbers on the frame, barrel, bolt and rear sight.  The magazine follower, feed ramp and bolt face show very little usage.  All the inspector mark and screw heads are clear and sharp.  This rifle was built by BSA and shows the clear BSA, WD broad arrow roundel and the seldom found original clearing rod with the correct WD inspector mark.  The butt plate shows the original unpolished brass and original screws.  The butt trap houses the correct oiler showing serial 720.  This rifle is an exceptional example of the first Canadian issued Lee Enfield.  A piece for the Enfield or the Canadian Collector.  Note we have not cleaned this rifle and it remains in it's "as found" condition.
