  SN 3879L is marked Hembrug 1918, a cavalry carbine caliber 6.5 X53 R.  This carbine shows a matching bolt, trigger group, barrel and frame (receiver). Only the butt plate is not matching.  The wood remains in sound condition with the exception of a shallow notch below the bolt release.  The butt shows a sharp Hembrug arsenal mark dated 1922.  This piece shows excellent blue and a bright excellent bore.  This carbine is missing its nose cap/band and its sling swivels. Otherwise this carbine is complete and is in excellent overall condition. A less common carbine for the Dutch or Mannlicher collector.  A relatively scarce carbine with a low production rate.
