• Description:

  Antique Snider dug up.  This remnants of a MKIII Snider was retrieved a number of years ago from a river bottom in Western Canada.  This was originally a 2 band short Snider cut down to a carbine configuration.  The lock and breech are locked in place by rust and corrosion.  The barrel appears to be plugged with dried mud up to 1 1/2" from the muzzle.  The wood shows the grooving and loss caused by years of running water eroding the same.  A true dug up, not out of the ground, but from a river bottom.  A unique item from Western Canada.
