  This is an original mark 5 Sten . The housing is marked Sten MK5 and M/78. The underside shows SN 235138 as does the under side of the front sight. The action and mag are welded solid. This piece was deactivated to the most current standards. The butt stock is a correct and original MK5 but shows a number of re-issue serial numbers, the last being 195245. Only the for grip is not original issue. This piece wears an original WW Sten sling. The wood and metal remain in excellent condition -original sten MK 5 are difficult to find.
