Sn 551428 is an excellent plus example of a WW2 Kriegsmarine deactivated pistol. This piece shows 98% bright original blue & grip finish. The 7.65 caliber bore rates as bright excellent plus showing little if any usage. The correct commercial proof, crown U, is found on the top of the slide. This proof indicates that this pistol was built prior to April 1940. There were approximately 23,000 1934 Mausers acquired by the Navy. This example shows property #N5175 on the front strap. This is a very scarce pistol in above average condition. This piece is offered as a a deactivated pistol for the serious WW2 collector. This Navy pistol came with a photograph of the British battleship "King George V". The back of the photo shows the German Archive slip dated 11.12.1941 and the stamping on the back of the photo.
