  NSN is an excellent example of a 1940's production Cooey Model 82 22 caliber rifle.  This example shows no C broad arrow marking or serial number on the pistol grip of the stock.  There were 34,810 built as trainers during WW2.  The overrun were sold as commercial rifles and as class 2 target guns.  There were far fewer commercial rifles sold than the military contract guns.  This piece shows an excellent bore, finish and markings.  This example shows the target rear sight.  An item for the Cooey collection .
