  SN91782 is a 45 LC commercial Peacemaker that would be a great restoration piece.  This revolver was buit in 1883( serial range 85000 to 102000). This revolver may have been one that was sold to the military as it shows the serial numbered barrel.  (This # was eliminated on the civilian models).  I recall that this Colt was floating around the Maritime gun owners in the 1970's with an added front target type sight and a rear sight notched in the top strap.  In additition it had a wire shoulder stock attached.  The filled holds in the back strap are visable. This piece shows all matching numbers on the various main parts.  The bore shows obvious corrosion but sound rifling.  The action is sound.  The grips appear to be original to the piece.  The finish shows overall light corrosion. This Colt can be restored if someone wishes to spend time and money to do so.  Colt's in this era (1880-1890) command a value that may justify.  A restoration project.
