  SN C130953 is a Colt 1911 Commerical pistol 45 ACP built in 1922.  This pistol shows the new style of slide marking that started in 1920.  The slide shows a matching number under the firing pin stop.  This Commerical 1911 is one of 5000 built in 1922.  Unfortunately, at some point in time this unmodified pistol was professionally re-finished.  The only obvious sign is the partial obliterated top of the pony on the slide.  All of the parts and grips are original to the pistol.  The bore shows overall light corrosion but sound riflings and appears to be very shootable. The grips show all original finish and crisp checkering .  This pistol is still a great early 1911 that is very tight and mechanically sound.  An example for the collector or shooter.
