• Description:

  Colt Model 1878 double barreled 12 gauge shotgun SN 4298.  This Colt was built in 1889.  This example shows 2 3/4 chambers in 28" barrels, both improved cylinders.  The bores rate at bright excellent with a browned Damascus finish. Both sideplates are sound with excellent working hammers and action.  The case color on the action has turned silver. The wood is sound with no cracks or breaks with a slight sliver missing on the right nose of the forestock.  Sound original checkering and stud buttplate. (Non Restricted)
