  Colt 1851 Navy SN 57548.  This is a 3rd Model built in 1856, all matching including the wedge.  This Navy shows no original blue but an overall grey/silvered finish with clear markings and a good trace of cylinder scene.  The brass straps show some silver in the protected areas.  The bore shows corrosion with sound rifling, 36 caliber.  The grips are original.  The action is smooth and tight.  A good example of an 1851 Navy Colt.
