Cast Cannon With Golf Ball Size Bore

  Canadian built cast iron cannon built in Ontario approximatey 25-30 years ago.  These were sold on a limited basis.  The tube is 26 3/4" long and bored to take and use a golf ball.  We have fired one of these cannon using a small charge of black FG powder.  The charge was apprtoximately 1/2 of a 577 Snider case.  This produced a significant report and propelled the golf ball approximately 200 to 250 yards.  We are selling this item as is.  We cannot warrant its' strength, usage or shootability.  As with any black powder or antique arms, we can not warrant the usage or safety of the same.  We can only recommend that the purchaser have the item examined and tested by a licensed gunsmith prior to any usage.  A very neat item especailly considering the availability of old used golf balls.
