- Caliber/Gauge: .45 ACP
- Description:
Sn 201130 is a WWII Savage built Thompson Model 1928 A1 submachine gun 45 ACP, with a bright excellent bore. This piece is one of the Thompsons acquired by Canada in the early stages of WWII. The Thompsons were basically replaced by the Stengun in 1943. This example shows clear stampings and what appears to be a Canadian arsenal parkerized finish. This piece is marked on the top of the receiver "Tommy Gun" as were most of the guns in the Canadian contract. There are no Canadian proofs as was the case in three prior Canadian examples that we have handled. This piece is in the class (converted auto) having been converted to semi auto. Any purchaser must have this class of license. Special arrangements can be made to deactivate this Thompson to (Non Gun Status) for the benefit of the purchaser. We are selling this item on consignment. This piece is mounted with a Canadian 1941 dated sling. (Prohib Status)
