  • Description:

One of the scarce 1000 Canadain pattern 1893 bayonets built by Wilkinson for the Martini-Metford MKII rifle.  All of these bayonets are dated 2/94 and unit marked to the Royal Regiment of Canada.  This piece show RRC1 300 on the crossguard.  The scabbard is correct and marked RRC1 #280 as with the majority of these bayonets .  This blade shows overall staining and has not been cleaned or polished. The wood grips both show the correct crown 49 inspector stamp.  This example is issue #300 out of 1000 with a low survival rate.  The scabbard shows the correct proofs and 1890 date. A piece for the Canadian collector.
