Canadian Martini 22 Caliber With Case
- Licensing Category: Non-restricted
- Maker: BSA
- Model: Martini
- Caliber/Gauge: .22
- Description:
SN 37677 is one of the BSA Martini Target rifles acquired by Canada between WW1 and WW2 for cadet and military training. This piece is from the same batch of rifles as prior item C491 SN 37550. This example shows the C broad arrow property mark on the right side of the butt only. The bottom of the forwood shows where this rifle was previously fitted with a Parker Hale disk box. This suggests that this rifle was probably used by one of the militia or cadet target teams. This piece shows the 25 1/4" heavy barrel with a bright excellent bore. The original blue and wood remain in excellent condition 90% blue and clean sound wood with original checkering. In addition the front sight was upgraded from the standard cadet type to a larger Parker Hale FS 21 site. The overall condition suggests that this example was not used in general cadet or militia training or shooting. This item also comes with a far less than common military rifle case built for the Cadet Martini rifles. This military case shows the standard webbing with leather trim and a removable carry sling. The front side shows a broad arrow property mark. An excellent example with the additional feature.
