    Long Branch 1949 dated 1949.  There were no No 4 rifles built from 1945-1949.  In 1949 production was resumed due to Korean threat.  This example ,91L1537, was in the first batch of No 4's built in 1949.  This example shows all matching numbers.  The finish rates at 99% metal and wood.  The bolt face shows evidence of very little firing. The bore rates as new and shows the 6 groove barrel built on the bren gun machining.  The receiver is marked C No 4 MKI*( Skinnerton page 330.)  This rifle is mounted with as new Hugh Carson Co. Ltd. C broad arrow sling.  The trap holds an oil and pull trough.  An as new example of the approximately 50,000 No 4's built for the Korean War.  A mintish #4 Long Branch bayonet #0836 is included.  An exceptional condition example for the serious Enfield collector.
