  • Caliber/Gauge: .38 S&W

  • Description:

SN C6906 is a 1934 dated Enfield that was Canadian issued as per the C broad arrow mark below the date on the right side of the frame.  This revolver is all matching, shows a bright excellent 380 (38 S&W) bore and 97% original finish with excellent markings.  In addition to the C broad arrow, the backstrap shows the Canadian RCAF broad arrow mark .  Note-The RCAF armorer used a 6 in mistake of the C stamping die. This revolver was one of only 235 No 2 MK 1 revolvers 5" barrel purchased from Britain 4 oct 1935.(National archives of Canada).  See page 41 and 42 of the "Canadian Military Handguns 1855-1985" by our late friend, Clive Law.  As you can appreciate the survival rate of these revolvers is very low considering the RCAF losses in WW2.  The swivel on this pistol was removed at some point in time, an easy fix.  A scarce if not rare Canadian issue revolver.
