Canadian Inglis Bren Gun Deactivated Non-Gun

    Serial # 3521 is a totally deactivated Canadian Bren MK 1, built by Inglis in 1941.  This is one of the Bren guns that were sold as deactivated by the Canadian Navy circa 1964.  They were later recalled and redeactivated.  This piece shows an excellent original finish but is now deactivated to or beyond the current standards.  The barrel show the original cut, plus is welded solid to the frame with a pin through the chamber and welded in place.  All the main internal operational parts are welded in place, including the barrel, trigger, sear, selector switch, bolt and cocking piece. Both the bolt carrier and the ejection cover are welded.  The magazine has the inner workings removed and is permanently deactivated.  The right side of the receiver shows welding and the barrel cut.  The left side shows an overall original finish, clear markings, C broad arrow and proofs.  This piece is mounted with the earlier bipod with extensions.  The wood is excellent and matching.  This is an excellent deactivated Bren Gun for the WWII or Canadian Collector.  Non gun- not subject to license.
