• Description:

  SN 692 LEC MK1 carbine built in 1896 and delivered to Canada 1896/97.  This example shows all original matching serial numbers on the barrel, reciever, bolt and rear sight.  The blue rates at 95% overall.  The bore is dark but shows excellent rifling.  The wood is sound but shows small marks and staining associated with service use. Clear inspector and Enfield stampings.  The left side of the butt shows the DC diamond mark.  This piece comes with its original leather sight cover marked Eldon & Son's Ltd, Walsall 1901.  The right side shows a repairable break on the bottom button hole. A very good plus example of a  Canadian issue and used MK 1 carbine.
