Sn EAL 4675 is one of several thousand EAL's built by Essential Agencies Limited(Canadian Arsenals)in the 1950's. These rifles were assembled as both civilian and military rifles. This example shows the parts marked with the CA marks. The Knox form shows the large CA mark and a CMK4 marking. The 21 " barrel shows a sound 303 caliber bore. The rifle shows the DC proofs and is mounted with the correct Jostam pad and a C broad arrow Canadian sling. As per page 327 of "The Lee Enfield" by Skennerton the civilian variations were numbered in the 2000 to 3000 range. The military variations were used by the RCAF as survival rifles. Others were sent North and appear to have been issued to the Northern Ranger units. See page 327 for additional reference. An overall sound example.
