  SN 8271 is a Canadian issued Enfield dated 1896 L.E. MK 1.  This example shows the Canadian M&D markings on the butt and a clear crisp Enfield roundel.  This piece shows an interesting buttplate tang marking 1 over 46 indicating the 1st Canadian Battalion.  The wood shows all of its' original finish, clear proofs and normal issue and usage marks.  The metal shows 95% plus of its' original blue and a bright excellent bore.  This Long Lee is an exceptional example of a Canadian issued Enfield from the 1896 purchase.
