• Description:

  SN 19377 (under bolt handle) is a custom BSA Lee Speed Sporting Rifle, caliber 303.  21" barrel with a bright excellent bore.  For reference see "The Lee Enfield Story Final Edition" by Ian Skennerton, page 116-117.  This example shows the 5 shot magazine, 80% plus original blue with a few spots of light tarnish.  The receiver ring and bridge shows 3 small screws where a previous owner had a scope mounted.  This one is fitted with the optional express sight and delux hand checkered stock.  Post factory a decelerator 1" pad was installed to reduce receiver effect of a short barrel.  The barrel shows the BSA logo and the 303 nItro proofed markings.  The wood rates at a very good plus with a horn cap.  There are a few bruise marks on the checking forewood left side.  Excellent example for the Enfield collection.
