• Description:

  A 1897 pattern infantry officers sword.  This piece was retailed by Armfield Ltd of Birmingham England.  This example shows an excellent 33 1/4" straight blade and has excellent nickel finish showing the normal markings.  The  left face show the George V cypher, crown with and excellent etchings markings and finish.  The left edge of the guard is turned down.  The grip shows excellent fishskin and German-silver wire.  One of the best thrusting blades and fighting swords described for British officers.  An excellent example for the sword or British military collector.
