  • Description:

British Flintlock pistol built by Sharpe and Keen (1807-1811) of 1 Great Charles Street, Birmingham.  This well built pistol shows an 8 3/4 barrel with an uncommon multi (9) grooved rifled barrel that is about 12 bore (70) caliber.  The bore shows obvious corrosion and sound rifling.  The metal is "in the white".  The lock is crisp and sound showing a waterproof pan.  The left side of the stock is mounted with a belt or sash hook indicating its' use as an officers pistol.  The wood and checkering remain sound.  A scarce and less common flint pistol.
